I remember when this came out. I did consider it for movie night, but when I read it was from the guys who did 'Saw' I didn't think it would be suitable.
Twisted Teen:
Yeah, but Insidious was by them too and we watched that
Miss Twisted:
Which is why I am happy to give this a shot now kiddo!
Twisted Man Thing:
Ah I thought I recognised the style in the trailer
Twisted Kid:
Oh wow I hope its as scary as Insidious!
Twisted Teen:
I doubt it!
Twisted Kid:
But its about a toy! I find that creepy enough before even watching it!
Twisted Teen:
Yeah good point! Lucky we don't have any dummy's or doll's laying around the house huh?!
Twisted Man Thing:
Hmm... Maybe that's something to consider?!
Twisted Kid:
No dad! That would be so horrible.
Miss Twisted:
He's just messing...
Twisted Man Thing:
Or am I?! Haha!
Miss Twisted: Oh wow I actually really enjoyed that!
Twisted Man Thing: They know how to scare don't they?!
Miss Twisted: Yeah at times it was claustrophobic!
Twisted Teen: That was awesome! Scary! Funny! Disgusting! Just everything!
Twisted Kid: I'm glad that first girl died. I don't like her in films. She's annoying.
Miss Twisted: Haha! Poor woman!
Twisted Kid: She is though. Was really disappointed when I saw her in it.
Twisted Teen: And then she was dead and you cheered up!
Twisted Kid: Yeah!
Miss Twisted: Ok so the killer question... What did you think of the special effects..?
Twisted Teen: You go first Dad...
Twisted Man Thing: Erm yeah they were ok... A little too animated at times, almost 'cartoony' if you know what I mean? But even so, they worked!
Twisted Teen: Yeah at times they made me laugh...
Twisted Kid: Like the tongue bit? You laughed so loud then!
Twisted Teen: Yeah the tongue was the main one haha! But like dad said, even though at times it was corny, it was still good.
Miss Twisted: I loved the actual story... Reminded me of old ghost story's I used to hear as a kid.
Twisted Man Thing: Yeah it was very old school with the haunting plot.
Miss Twisted: Made the hairs on my arms stick up!
Twisted Kid: But what I don't understand is at the end when you find out...
Twisted Teen: Sshh! Don't spoil it for others!
Twisted Kid: But if he was...
Twisted Teen: Sssshhhh!!
Miss Twisted: Let's tie this up and then we can discuss that part in private.
Twisted Kid: Ok!
Twisted Man Thing chose this Weeks Movie:
I spotted it at a friends house and thought it could be a good one for us all to enjoy together. Looks pretty creepy!
THE TWISTED FAMILY VERDICT:
4/5 - Another good one to keep downstairs!!
I know that a lot of people were disappointed with this film, if I was watching it to try and scare myself I too may have expected a little more, but as a movie you can watch with friends or family, it works perfectly. This is definitely something we will watch again together soon!
Yeah I definitely had a good time watching this and its one of those well done ones that I know will make me jump no matter how many times I watch it.
Ah man I want these guys to hurry up and make more films! They know how to really scare you!
Twisted Kid:
I'm still a bit confused about the ending, will need it explained to me and then I will watch it again, but I definitely liked it! Had to put my hands over my eyes and peek through the gaps a couple of times!
