Starring: Treat Williams (127 Hours), Famke Janssen (Xmen), Kevin J. O'Connor
Director: Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing)
Looks like a good action horror.
Twisted Teen:
That woman is Jean in the Xmen movies
Twisted Kid:
Looks like there are some creepy moments in it
Miss Twisted:
Why do I get the feeling this is going to be a bit silly?
Twisted Man Thing:
No I don't think so, looks fun to me
Miss Twisted:
Exactly!
Twisted Teen:
Plenty of gun action in the trailer
Twisted Kid:
I love monster movies!!
Twisted Kid chose this film:
I chose this one because it looks really exciting and there is a jet-ski chase in it!
Twisted Man Thing: Now that was entertainment!
Miss Twisted: Normally I would dislike this purely down to its predictability, but I actually enjoyed it!
Twisted Teen: Good stuff! Had some cool chase scenes and constant action.
Twisted Kid: There was one really gorey scene that scared me, but that was all. The rest was cool!
Miss Twisted: Would you watch it again though?
Twisted Kid: Yeah! Just wouldn't look when that bit is on.
Twisted Teen: I don't know why but it felt like I had seen it before...
Miss Twisted: That's its predictability, but it was still a good all rounder.
Twisted Man Thing: That Joey guy made it for me, he was so funny!
Miss Twisted: Aww I felt sorry for him,
Twisted Kid: There were quite a few jumpy bits, but they were fun jumpy bits!
Twisted Man Thing: I could quite happily watch that regularly!
Twisted Teen: It was obvious who was gonna die when though
Miss Twisted: Yeah it was, but I do enjoy these 'take your brain out movies' from time to time.
THE TWISTED FAMILY VERDICT:
4/5 Yay! Keep it on the livingroom dvd unit!
Well I stand corrected. Wasn't silly at all, was good fun to watch and a great experience for us to share. Plenty of boys toys in this one too, so keeps them chatting for ages afterwards too!
There is one rather gorey scene where a half digested, yet still alive person falls before them. I did have a chat with my youngest about make up and special effects after the film and the next day we made home made blood and had great fun creating some really yucky effects! Now he has seen how things are done he seems completely at ease about it. A good one for a mixed group for sure!
I'm really happy with my choice and it looks like we all enjoyed it! I think they should let me choose again next week!
Enjoyed watching all that action with my boys. Great choice Kid!
Cool film! I loved how it had a bit of everything and they were kind of on an adventure. I'll be watching this pretty often!
