The World of Horror

A Man plagued by supernatural phenomenon

After nearly ten years of working days on an assembly line within a small factory and nights delivering takeaways for a local Chinese, a middle aged man had decided that his life was running away from him and that a change was needed before he would go insane.
The change he had decided on had been his love for car mechanics. He had completed an apprenticeship after leaving school many years before but with a high unemployment rate at the time he had been unsuccessful at finding a mechanics job and had been almost forced to give up on that career path.
Through pure luck he had come across an old run down garage one night after delivering a Chinese meal and the sight had ignited his desire to make something of his life. After successfully securing finance it hadn’t taken long for him to buy the garage from relatives of the deceased man that had previously owned the business.

Within one week weird things had begun to happen within the garage, tools disappearing and then reappearing in strange places, car electrics working one minute but being dead the next and then working again later. All these strange phenomena had caused some concern for the man but not enough to make him believe anything strange was afoot.

This was the case until the end of the second week of his life change. On the fourteenth night of his new venture he had decided to stay late and finish a job, a decision he had regretted very soon after.
Before he could even begin on the car he had taken in earlier he had seen tools fly from one side of the garage on their own accord. The shock had been enough to make him run for the exit but to only get a short way before seeing the shutter doors come down and trap him inside. With tools still hurtling through the air he had taken cover in the car, but immediately the car had started its engine, shut the doors and locked them, trapping the man within. Within seconds the car had put itself into first gear and crashed through the shutter doors, taking the man on a short hell ride before ending up in a canal and almost killing him.

After waking up in hospital and telling police of his ordeal, the man’s story had been instantly disbelieved. Instead the report had gone on to state that he had been driving carelessly and he was fined for the offence.

To this day the man has never been back to the garage!
