My mates say this is really cool... Meat eating plants?!
Twisted Man Thing:
It better not be anything like The Little Shop of Horrors
Miss Twisted:
Why not? Tut... That was a brilliant movie.!
Twisted Man Thing:
It was stupid...
Twisted Kid:
I bet this one is gonna be well funny!
Twisted Teen:
No its not a comedy apparently
Twisted Man Thing:
So Ben Stiller involvement AND killer plants, but no comedy... Not sure how that's gonna work?!
Miss Twisted:
I'm not looking forward to this one much... Can't get my head around killer plants not being comical.
Twisted Teen:
Shall I stick it on then?
Twisted Kid:
Yeah!
1 hour 30 minutes later...
I read this Ben Stiller interview and he said he had been helping out with this movie because he is good friends with the director, who is pretty new to the business. Well I like Ben Stiller and thought his input into a horror film could be interesting. The thing is its about plants so sounds pretty corny! Haha! Still think its something we could all enjoy together though.
Twisted Kid: I'm choosing next week, that was rubbish!
Miss Twisted: As slow as expected. A couple of times I thought it was going to surprise me and pick up pace, but no such luck
Twisted Teen: There were one or two cool yucky scenes
Twisted Man Thing: Yeah the special effects were pretty good, but...
Twisted Teen: I didn't like how the plants killed over a period of time, I was hoping for big sudden attacks.
Twisted Kid: There weren't any jumpy parts.
Twisted Teen: Yeah but you wouldn't watch the amputation scene!
Twisted Kid: Because it was horrible! Looked so real and made me feel a bit sick... I didn't jump though!
Miss Twisted: Yes that scene was a bit full on for you juniors...
Twisted Man Thing: The whole film would have been so much better with a humorous edge
Miss Twisted: Yep! Took itself way too seriously
Twisted Teen: Did you notice how that guys scar kept changing? Not just how it looked, but its position too haha!
Twisted Man Thing: No I didn't actually, but I did notice how someone's sunglasses became glasses and then sunglasses again!
Miss Twisted: And when she lost her glasses she was wearing them again later ha!
Twisted Kid: I saw a mistake too! That guy got shot with two arrows, but when he fell down he had three sticking in him, but it was only two arrows fired 'cos I counted them!
Miss Twisted: Well I guess as much as the movie was a let down, at least its goofs entertained us!!
THE TWISTED FAMILYS VERDICT:
1/5 Well we could always have a game of frisbee with the disc?!?
Twisted Kid:
There was one scene that I really couldn't watch. It was horrible! The rest of it was so boring though. I just sat playing with the cat.
Twisted Man Thing:
What can I say? I wish I'd had a kip now...
Miss Twisted:
Some people may like this, but we didn't. It isn't good enough to hold a junior aged kids attention and my eldest sat fiddling with his phone. I also feel that one or two of the scenes were a bit 'iffy' for kids to watch. All children are different, but I wish I had screened this one first as I wouldn't have allowed it for family movie night. Killer plants and graphic gore just don't seem to fit in the right sentence though so I never even considered previewing it. Not something we would bother watching again.
Twisted Teen:
Ok this weeks movie was a flop. It was like one of those lame movies that are aired in the middle of the night. Its not my fault though... Blame Ben Stiller!
