This Weeks Movie:
Thirteen Ghosts was actually recommended to us by our Twisted Nana as its one of her favourite horror movies! We were at first a little dubious because Twisted Nana is also known to love her TV soaps and Catherine Cookson drama's, but when we checked out the trailer we were pleasantly surprised...

Crammed full with special effects...
Twisted Kid:
The ghosts look so cool!
Twisted Man Thing: .
..Which look quite well done!
Miss Twisted:
I can't believe we haven't watched this before?!
Twisted Teen:
The girl in it looks hot! Just saying...
Miss Twisted:
I didn't even know they had remade Thirteen Ghosts.
Twisted Man Thing:
This is a remake?
Miss Twisted:
Yep! The original is a 50's/60's classic.
Twisted Kid:
I didn't know they made movies during dinosaur times!
Twisted Teen:
Hahaha!
Twisted Man Thing:
Right then let's check Twisted Nana's favourite horror out!
Miss Twisted: Haha! That was a lot of fun.
Twisted Teen: Fun I nearly filled my pants a few times!
Twisted Kid: Did you?! I jumped loads and got really creeped out, but I wouldn't have pooped!
Twisted Man Thing: The effects were impressive, which was good because there were loads of them!
Twisted Teen: Yeah like nearly the whole film!
Miss Twisted: That didn't ruin it though, the effects were needed and done well.
Twisted Man Thing: That guy that was Shaggy in Scooby Doo is great isn't he?! Really good actor.
Miss Twisted: Ok which was the scariest ghost?
Twisted Kid: The one with its head in the cage thing!
Twisted Teen: The princess thing was easily the creepiest!
Twisted Man Thing: That massive mean scary one. You?
Miss Twisted: All of them!! Haha!
THE TWISTED FAMILY VERDICT:
4/5 - Keep it on the downstairs unit!!
Twisted Kid:
Thirteen Ghosts is so cool! It made me jump loads, but it was really fun! I'm gonna watch it over and over because its great!
I never considered my nan to be cool, but her taste in horror movies is awesome! I really liked this one! It has everything in it you could want from a scary film!
This surprised me. I wasn't expecting much, but it kept me entertained all the way through. There was plenty of suspense and tense moments. I was startled a few tomes, laughed a few times and folded my arms over my chest with discomfort once or twice haha!
It is a very typical Hollywood horror. They pulled out all the stops with a big budget to give us the wow factor. I was interested throughout and had a fun time, but it isn't something I could watch often. I think most of the tension was the not knowing what would happen next and of course next time I will know. It certainly kept the family amused though and the boys loved it.
